Natalia Dyer
Role of Davina Natalia Dyer is an exciting and dynamic young actress on the brink of big success. With her engaging presence and natural talent, Natalia has quickly blossomed into one of Hollywood's most promising talents. She can currently be seen in the independent drama THE GREENING OF WHITNEY BROWN alongside Kris Kristofferson and Aidan Quinn. Natalia plays the friend of Whitney (Sammi Hanratty), a girl who undertakes a misguided journey back to her old life after being forced to move on to the country when her parents feel the squeeze of economic hard times. She will also be joining the cast of THE HEALER alongside Joel Courtney (SUPER 8) from producer Susan Johnson (MEAN CREEK). Natalia previously wrapped BLUE LIKE JAZZ starring Marshall Allman, Claire Holt, and Tania Raymonde. She made her onscreen debut in Disney's HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE starring Miley Cyrus and directed by Peter Chelsom (SERENDIPITY). Born in Nashville, Natalia began performing on stage at the age of eight, playing "Scout" in the adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize winning novel and the Academy Award-winning film "To Kill a Mockingbird" for the Tennessee Center for Performing Arts in Nashville. In addition to acting, Natalia enjoys writing, photography, and cooking. She currently resides with her family in Tennessee. |
Peter Vack
Role of Sterling Peter Vack has worked consistently in theater, film, and television since the age of nine. He can be seen starring in Doug Liman's upcoming MTV youthful romantic dramady I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK, which taps into the post-college generation as they find their way in the world. The series centers on 22 year old hipster Jason Stricer (Vack) and his friends as they grapple with dating, romance and becoming adults. Notable stage appearances include "Richard III" at the Public Theater, "Fool For Love," "True West," and an exclusive engagement of "The Pillowman" in Los Angeles performed by The Casitas Group, a theater company of which Peter is also a founding member. Peter is the co-founder of Shakespeare on the Subway, a guerilla theater project that has been featured on NPR, Inside Edition, and The New York Post. Peter's film credits include DEAR DIARY, A PERFECT FIT, THE TREATMENT and KISS OF THE DAMNED. He starred in the independent feature film CONSENT which was written and directed by his father, Ron Farrar Brown. He has also appeared in numerous television series. Peter currently splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles. In his spare time he enjoys playing classical guitar and writing. |
Toni Meyerhoff
Role of Toni Toni Meyerhoff is the director's mother and an inspiration for this project. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis shortly before her daughter was born and has been in a wheelchair ever since. Her acting debut was in Leah Meyerhoff's short film TWITCH, which screened at hundreds of film festivals worldwide before being picked up for distribution by the Independent Film Channel and Skandinavia TV. Toni was also profiled in FILM SCHOOL, a docu-reality series directed by Nanette Burstein (THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE) which portrayed the making-of TWITCH and continues to air on IFC. |
Joshua Leonard
Role of Matthew Joshua Leonard first garnered attention for his lead role in THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and has since starred in over thirty films including THINGS BEHIND THE SUN, LIVE FROM BAGHDAD and MEN OF HONOR. He made his directorial debut with the short THE YOUTH IN US (Sundance 2005) and co-directed the feature documentary BEAUTIFUL LOSERS (SXSW 2008). Joshua also played a lead role in HUMPDAY (Sundance 2009, Cannes 2009) which was released by Magnolia Pictures. He recently directed and starred in THE LIE and appeared in Vera Farmiga's HIGHER GROUND both of which premiered at Sundance 2011. |
